Amigurumi Crochet Devil Pattern

The devil does not always appear as the evil ruler of the underworld, but can also be downright cute, cuddly and small in appearance, as in this case as a crocheted mini devil.

This little Amigurumi Devil can be crocheted in no time, not only by advanced crocheters but also by beginners. The devil has crocheted a height of about 6 cm, when crocheted with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn.

You can crochet the crochet devil in 2 versions, once “traditionally” unclothed as God has created him or something outwardly friendlier in a black suit.

IMPORTANT: This pattern is crocheted in spiral/continuous rounds, that means you continue crocheting round for round unless the instructions says otherwise. Because of that, always work a marker of any kind in the first stitch of each new round, to always know when a round begins and/or ends.

Crochet the Devil Body

The head and body of the devil is crocheted in one piece in spiral rounds and with single crochet stitches. If you want to crochet the devil with a suit, make a color change on turn 14 (note in the instructions), otherwise crochet the head and body with hot red to the end.

Finishing the Crochet Devil

Legs: After you’ve finished crocheting all the pieces, first sew the legs to the body. Start sewing the legs directly over the edge of the stitch row, which has been created by crocheting only into the back stitches. Sew the second leg 4 to 5 stitches to the left or right of the first leg in the same way as the first leg.

Arms: Next, sew the arms left and right to the body, just below the “neck”. Do not sew the arms directly over the legs, but rather behind the legs.

Horns: Sew the horns 3 stitch rows to the left and right of the center of the head.

Tail: Tie, knot, or sew the devil’s tail on the back of the body, centered over the edge of the stitch row that was crochet only into the back loops.

Eyes: Attach the safety eyes after the 7th stitch row counting from the top center of the head. The eyes are 4 stitches apart from each other.

Face: Finally, with a black thread, stitch eyebrows that run diagonally to the eyes. Stitch a mouth into the 2nd and 3rd stitch row under the eyes.

Done is the little crochet devil!
