Finishing the Crochet Frog

After finish crocheting all the pieces, you should have an assembly kit in front of you that looks like this:

Amigurumi Crochet Frog Assembly Kit

Body: If not done yet, close the bottom of the body. To do this take your blunt tapestry needle holding the thread laying at the opening. Stitch with the needle through the front loop of all 6 stitches and pull tight. Push the needle through the now closed opening and let it escape through the side of the body or the head. Pull the thread tight again, cut the thread close to the body or head and knead the piece. The thread should dissapear inside and the bottom is cleanly closed.

Legs: Begin sewing the first leg one stitch row over the row with the visible edge (created by the round crocheted only into the back loops). Both legs are the same, so it does not matter which leg you sew on first. Still, sew on the first leg as the right leg. Sew on the second leg around 7 stitches to the right from the first leg. Both legs should be on the same level as the bottom of the body, that the elephant is able to sit properly.

Use the pictures as guidance to position the legs correctly.

Arms: Sew on the arms 3 to 4 stitch rows over the legs. Take care not to sew the arms onto the neck area (the smallest part between head and body). Take again the pictures as guidance to position the arms correctly.

Feet: The frog feet are sewed onto the yellow part of the legs. While sewing i pulled always one time the yellow thread between each toe pair so that the toes are more clearly separated from each other and not too close together. See the pictures for details how the thread is pulled between them.

Eyes: First sew on the 2 green eye pieces 1 to 2 stitch rows left and right from the top middle of the head.

Now sew on the actual eye, the white piece, onto the green piece that you just sewed on the head.

Face: Finally you stitch on the nostrils, mouth and pupils. Stitch on a straight line with black yarn from top to bottom (or bottom to top) over the white of the eye. Repeat this as often till you are happy with the thickness of the pupil. Next stitch on one single long line on the lower part of the head that will represent the mouth. Stitch to more short line over the mouth, those will be the nostrils.

Use the pictures as guidance to position all the stitched on elements correctly.
