Finishing the Crochet Mouse

After crocheting all the parts for the Amigurumi mouse bookmark, it is time to sew the eyes and the ears onto the body.

Eyes: Before sewing the eyes we need to add the pupils. Take a black yarn with the same strength as the yarn used to crochet the eyes and form a simple circle. Take the black yarn and do a loop into the circle, same as if you would do a simple knot, but don’t tighten it. Do two more of those loops into the circle and slowly pull on both threads to make a big knot.

Pull both threads through the opening in the middle of the eye. Tighten the opening as much so that the knot won’t go through it anymore. Do several knots with the two threads on the inside of the eye, close the opening of the eye so the pupil is not moving anymore. Cut the thread short and repeat the same for the second eye.

Finished Mouse Eyes with Pupils

Sew the eyes shortly after the nose. Use the pictures as guidance to postion the eyes correctly. There is no need to fill the eyes with polyfill before sewing them onto the head since they are relatively small and stiff once sewed on.

Ears: The mouse ears are sewed onto the head a few stitch rows behind the eyes. Again, use the pictures as guidance to position the ears correctly.

And done it is, your very own Amigurumi Mouse Bookmark!

  2. How can I get this pattern to print? A lot of sites have a “print now” button which turns the page into a PDF that one can download and print.

    • Hi, you can print the pattern when you click on the print button, its the most right gray button on the right, next to the Pinterest, Facebook etc buttons under the title or at the end of the pattern. Hope that helps. 🙂

    • Hi, yes the completed bookmark can be sold as long as the Designer/Source is mentioned and linked if possible, in this case Supergurumi. Hope that helps and good luck selling those mice. 🙂

  3. Thank you for sharing this mouse bookmark pattern! My hubby’s co-worker had had a terrible mouse infestation in the house he’d rented, so we’re surprising him with this squished “mouse” in his toolbox at work! Cheers from Manitoba, Canada.
