Amigurumi Joker Crochet Pattern

Joker, Batman’s arch-enemy, has been up to his mischief since 1920 and has not stopped doing so until today and will certainly not do so in the future.

Joker is not only known for his murderous jokes, his anarchic plans to throw everything and everyone into chaos, but also for being the most popular costume for Halloween, especially when a new Joker movie comes out.

However, if you prefer it quiet and cozy, you can crochet this little anarchist yourself in a completely harmless version that does completely without chaos.

This crochet Joker is crocheted with chain stitches and single crochet stitches in spiral rounds and in rows and is easy to crochet.

The depicted Amigurumi Joker has been crocheted with the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and has sitting a height of 5 cm.

Assembling

Legs: After you’ve finished crocheting all pieces, start sewing the legs onto the body. Start sewing the first leg onto the body directly over the edge that was created by the round that was crocheted only into the back loop. Sew on the second leg 4 to 5 stitches left or right from the first leg, again just over the edge.

Jacket: Wrap the jacket around the body with the opening to the front and sew the jacket to the body with a Violet colored thread.

Arms: Next, sew the arms left and right under the collar onto the jacket. Do not sew the arms directly over the legs but slightly behind the legs.

Eyes: Attach the safety eyes after the 7th stitch row counting from the top center of the head. The eyes are 4 stitches apart from each other.

More Fantastic Posts

Nose: Embroider the nose with a White thread. Embroider the nose centered under the eyes. To do this, pull the thread horizontally several times from one stitch through the next, skipping one stitch. Repeat until a thick nose forms.

Ears: Sew the ears 3 to 4 stitches from the eyes to the right and left onto the head, so that the upper part of the ears is at the same level as the eyes.

Eyebrows: Attach the eyebrows diagonally above the eyes onto the head.

Mouth: Embroider the mouth with a Signal Red thread under the nose. Use multiple threads to create a thicker mouth. Hide the remaining thread in the head.

Hair: Take a Maygreen thread, make a loop with it and pull it through the tapestry needle. Push the tapestry needle through a stitch over one ear and pull the thread through the stitch. This will create a loop towards the front of the head.

Pull both threads through the loop and pull them tight. You have created the first strand of hair.

Repeat this with each stitch in turn, from one ear to the other. Pull the threads with the tapestry needle through the jacket so that they are underneath the jacket.

Do not embroider the hair in a straight line on the head, but adjust the root at the middle of the head to create a natural hairline.

Then repeat the same procedure only one stitch row further ahead. This means that a new row of hair is knotted exactly one stitch before the previous one. This time the threads are not pulled through the jacket.

Cut the hair of the front row of hair so short that it extends to the collar.

Finally, cut the hair from the back row of hair under the jacket so that it is still held by the jacket and therefore lies flat against the head.
