Amigurumi Mega Man Crochet Pattern

Mega Man, also known as Rockman in Japan, has been jumping and shooting his laser beam since 1987, making him one of the oldest robots in the video game business.

Built and designed by Dr. Thomas Light, Mega Man was supposed to be the first human-like robot, but from now on he has to fight against Dr. Willy and his robot minions again and again to secure the 21st century from Dr. Willy’s plans for world domination.

You can now crochet your own small, world-saving Mega Man, but unfortunately without a working laser beam.

This crochet Mega Man is crocheted with chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and treble crochet stitches in spiral rounds and in rows and is easy to crochet.

The depicted Amigurumi Mega Man has been crocheted with the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and has sitting a height of 5 cm.

Assembling

Legs: After you’ve finished crocheting all pieces, start sewing the legs onto the body. Start sewing the first leg onto the body directly over the edge that was created by the round that was crocheted only into the back loop. Sew on the second leg 4 to 5 stitches left or right from the first leg, again just over the edge.

Arms: Sew the arms left and right onto the body, 1 stitch row under the “neck”. Do not sew the arms directly over the legs but slightly behind the legs.

Eyes: Attach the safety eyes after the 7th stitch row counting from the top center of the head. The eyes are 4 stitches apart from each other.

Nose: Embroider the nose with a Soft Apricot thread. Embroider the nose centered under the eyes. To do this, pull the thread horizontally several times from one stitch through the next, skipping one stitch. Repeat until a thick nose forms.

Helmet: Sew the laterial helmet elements onto the right and left side of the helmet.

Sew the long helmet element centered from the front to the back onto the helmet.

Finally, put the helmet on Mega Man’s head. If necessary, the helmet can also be sewn on.
