If you aren’t intimidated by this character trait, then you can now crochet this little Waluigi for your home.

Waluigi is crocheted with chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches and double crochet stitches in spiral rounds and in rows and is easy to crochet.

The depicted amigurumi Waluigi has been crocheted with the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and has sitting a height of 5.5 cm.

Assembling

Legs: After you’ve finished crocheting all pieces, start sewing the legs onto the body. Start sewing the first leg onto the body directly over the edge that was created by the round that was crocheted only into the back loop. Sew on the second leg 4 to 5 stitches left or right from the first leg, again just over the edge.

Arms: Sew the arms left and right onto the body, 1 stitch row under the “neck”. Do not sew the arms directly over the legs but slightly behind the legs.

Eyes: Attach the safety eyes after the 7th stitch row counting from the top center of the head. The eyes are 4 stitches apart from each other. Back to the crochet pattern.

Nose: Sew the nose centered, slightly down, between the eyes onto the head.

Ears: Sew the ears 3 to 4 stitches right and left from the eyes onto the head, so that the upper part of the ear is on the same height as the eyes. Also make sure that the slightly pointed end of the ears is facing up.

Beard: Attach the beard parts individually. Start by attaching the long beard parts under the nose as shown in the pictures. Attach the short beard part at the end of each long beard part. To do this, push one end of each thread with a tapestry needle at the appropriate place into the head, let it emerge at the back of the head, cut off the thread and hide it inside the head. Make sure that the last part of the beard is one of the parts that has only one thread left.

Then attach on the second half of the beard.

Eyebrows: Attach the eyebrows slightly slanted over the eyes, as shown in the picture. To do this, push with a tapestry needle one tail of an eyebrow through a stitch above an eye, let it emerge from the back of the head, cut the thread and hide the leftover inside the head.

Suspenders: Attach one end of the suspender on the front at the beginning of the pants. Pull the suspender over the shoulder and attach the other end on the back side of the pants.

Repeat this in the same way for the second suspender.

Buttons: Take a Dandelion thread and form a circle with it, same as if you would do a basic knot. Wind one end of the thread 3 times through the circle and then tighten.

Pull the knot with a tapestry needle through the transition of suspender and pants. Hide the surplus thread inside the body. Attach a button on the left and right side.

Sideburns: Embroider the sideburns with a Coffee colored thread on the right and left side of the head with a tapestry needle as shown in the pictures.

Emblem: Sew the emblem centrered onto the front of the hat.

Then use a tapestry needle and a Dandelion colored thread to embroider an upside down “L” onto the emblem.

Hat: Place the hat on the head. If necessary, it can also be sewn onto the head.
