Amigurumi Crochet Gingerbread Man Pattern

The Gingerbread Mn, the only man who tastes as good as he looks … assuming you bake one. However, if you have a shortage of ingredients and instead of sugar, flour, eggs, honey, etc and just wool in the house, then just crochet yourself a Gingerbread Man (he also has a much longer shelf life than the original).

The Gingerbread Man can be crocheted with or without an icing on his head. The depicted Gingerbread Man was crocheted with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and the Schachenmayr “Catania” cotton and has a height of 6 cm.

Finishing the Gingerbread Man

Legs: After you’ve finished crocheting all the pieces, first sew the legs to the body. Start sewing the legs directly over the edge of the stitch row, which has been created by crocheting only into the back stitches. Sew the second leg 4 to 5 stitches to the left or right of the first leg in the same way as the first leg.

Arms: Next, sew the arms left and right to the body, just below the “neck”. Do not sew the arms directly over the legs, but rather behind the legs.

Eyes: Attach the safety eyes after the 7th stitch row counting from the top center of the head. The eyes are 4 stitches apart from each other.

Details: Embroider the mouth 3 stitch rows under the eyes with a white thread. Embroider 2 buttons in the middle of the body with a red thread.

Icing: Position the icing on the Gingerbread Man’s head and sew it on using a maroon colored thread.

Finished is the small, sugar-sweet Gingerbread Man!
