Amigurumi Crochet Mouse Pattern – “The Chubby Mouse”

The chubby mouse, the greatest cheese lover of all. For a lifetime she indulged in eating cheese, sneaking into people’s houses and stealing from every household every cheese she could get her hands on.

Until one day all this was no longer possible. Suddenly she couldn’t fit through mouse holes, couldn’t pull herself up on edges and finally had to give up the cheese hunt … luckily she has her family who continues to supply her with plenty of cheese.

This gorgeous amigurumi mouse is the round wonder among the crochet mice and convinces with its unapproachable aerodynamics and cuddliness from which other mice could literally take a slice.

This crochet mouse is exclusively crocheted with single crochet stitches in spiral rounds with increases and decreases and is therefore perfect for beginners.

The depicted amigurumi mouse has been crocheted with the “Schachenmayr Catania” yarn with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and has a length of 20 cm and a height of 10 cm.

Assembling

Pupils: The pupils are 6 mm safety eyes which have to be shortened a little after attaching to the eye so that the eye itself is not unintentionally deformed after sewing it onto the head.

Push the safety eye through the middle of the crocheted eye. If you have problems pushing the safety eye through the middle of the crocheted eye, take a crochet hook and pierce it through the middle to enlarge the opening.

Then attach the washer and cut short the stem of the eye with scissors.

Eyes: Sew on the eyes 5 stitch row after the Dahlia colored area on the head. The eyes should have at the narrowest point a distance of 1 stitch to each other.

Ears: Start sewing the ears directly at the transition between the head and body (in front of the row crocheted only into the front loop). Try to sew the ears over a large area as possible, to create a more organic look to it, as if the body and ears are one part.

Legs: Sew the front legs left and right 1 to 2 stitch rows after the “neck” (after the row that was crocheted only into the front loop). Sew on the legs so that the “feet” (the round part of the legs) are attached lower than the bottom of the body. Then sew the hind legs at the same height as the front legs at the back of the body.
